Jobs + Living Wage (Re) Start-Up

 As the cost of living in Durham continues to rise, everyone must have access to jobs that pay a living wage in order to keep our community equitable and accessible. To achieve this mission, The Jobs + Living wage Action Team will start fresh in 2021 following a turbulent year for employment due to Covid-19. In the past, the team offered skills training, connections to employers, and advocacy for a living wage here in Durham. We will continue and expand on this work by first listening to the needs of the community. If you are interested in joining the Action Team-- either as an employer or a job seeker-- please attend this session where we will listen to those with firsthand experience job-seeking and brainstorm future actions.
