We're Hiring: Part-time Project Organizer

Position Description:
The Project Organizer will report to, support, and be supported by our senior organizer as he/she/they make sure the logistical arm of CAN not only functions but is actively strengthened. This person will develop relationships with leaders within CAN, stay up to date on Research Action Teams’ work and issues being cut, maintain meeting notes, photos, and other records/documentations within the life of Durham CAN, attend various CAN meetings, maintain the website, create the annual action report, oversee CAN’s social media presence, and help support event promotion and logistics. The ideal candidate will have remarkable communication skills and be able to coordinate with leaders about meeting needs, logistical action needs, and sharing timely updates. They should also be able to communicate effectively with a wide base via newsletters, email blasts, and other softer communication.
Qualifications:
An ideal candidate will possess:

an organized, proactive spirit with keen relational skills and gifts for collaboration

substantial proficiency in communication (oral and written) and technology (database
usage, website upkeep, social media, Zoom, email listservs)

strengths in connecting a broad network of individuals and supporting them with strong
administrative skills

2+ years of relevant work experience
Hours & Compensation:

10-15 hrs/wk
-
$20-$25/hr (depending on experience)
