Rachel is a current senior at Meredith College pursuing a Bachelors of Social Work with a double major in Spanish. She was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, but spent two years in Durham at The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.  Her favorite activities throughout college have been her volunteer roles within mentorship programs, being a Spanish tutor on campus, and being a staff member for Residence Life.  Rachel has also enjoyed studying abroad twice in Spain and Costa Rica where she was able to explore new cultures and found a deep love for the Spanish language. Rachel is currently applying to graduate school programs to obtain a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Macro and Community level practice.
